Thredbo Information


Thredbo Village Amenities


Thredbo is a small village and equipped with basic services including ATM’s, a medical centre, post office, service station, supermarket, newsagency, chemist, physiotherapists, masseurs, hairdresser, video hire, photographer and internet services.



Commonwealth Bank     agency is located in the Thredbo Supermarket.

ANZ           ATM is located in the upper concourse of the Thredbo Alpine Hotel.

Westpac     ATM is located in the upper concourse next to the bottle shop.

Eftpos  -     facilities are available at several lodges in Thredbo including the Thredbo Alpine
                 Hotel reception.


Child Care

A year round child care centre is located at the Thredbo Community Centre. They do take children of guests, however spaces are limited so book in advance on (02) 6457 6044. In winter-time an alternative childcare facility is located at the Thredbo Leisure Centre. Bookings can be made through Thredbo Resort Centre on 1800 020 589.


Courtesy Bus

The Thredbo courtesy shuttle bus service operates around the Village and to Friday Flat. The bus service operates daily from 7:30am to 5:30pm on the normal routes. Additionally, one bus operates on all bus routes between 5:30pm to 9:00pm on Sunday through to Thursday evenings and until midnight on Friday and Saturday unless otherwise notified.

All bus stops are signposted and drivers will only stop at designated bus stops to ensure the ongoing safety and efficiency of the service.  The bus stops are on the road behind the Lodge.


Information Centre

The Information Centre is centrally located in the heart of the village for your Thredbo inquiries. Staff at the Valley Terminal and Friday Flat ticket offices are also there to help. Call (02) 6459 4100 or mail for general information.


Post Office

A postal agency is located in the Thredbo Supermarket. (02) 6457 6888.


Thredbo Altitude Physiotherapy Centre (Winter Only)

The practice is open 7 days per week all winter. Appointments are required 02 64 576 320


Thredbo Historical Society (6457 6531)

The historical society has a range of equipment/memorabilia dating back to pre-war. Most of the equipment is on loan or has been donated by patrons. If you have any historical ski gear, photos, or memorabilia which you would like to share, please contact Graeme Holloway.


Thredbo Leisure Centre

Swimming Pool - The water is nicely heated with 4 lanes x 50m and 4 lanes x 25m to choose from. Swimming lessons are available, with swim squad for the more advanced looking to improve their skills.

Waterslide - A favourite with kids of all ages! Open daily 3-6pm.

Gymnasium - The fully equipped gym is 170 square metre and is fitted with a cushioned floor for active classes such as aerobics and martial arts. The gym features quality cardio machines and free weights.

Squash Court - Two courts with a timber sprung floors, a glass back walls and a viewing area.

Indoor Sports Hall - This1600 square metre sports hall features a multipurpose timber sprung floor, with various uses.

Massage Service - Therapeutic massage during summer only. Massage styles available include Swedish, remedial massage and shiatsu. Phone (02) 6459 4138 for a booking.

Thredbo Service Station Tel: (6457 6234)

The only service station is located on Friday Drive. This is also the NRMA emergency road repair centre). Other services available are mechanic; firewood and tyre chain hire.


Thredbo Medical Centre

Thredbo Medical Centre is located at Valley Terminal and is operated by a qualified general practitioner. The centre is open during school holidays. (02) 6459 4135

At other times there is first aid care available in THREDBO, a medical service in Jindabyne, and a hospital in Cooma.

The River Inn Massage Centre and Bodycare
